Nicole Ethel Miller, 44, must also register as a sex offender for life. |
A mother of three who sexually assaulted two teen boys visiting her Irvine home--a 14-year-old friend of her son's and the 16-year-old son of one of her own friends--was sentenced today to three years and four months in state prison.
When a jury in October found McMillen guilty--of four felony counts of lewd acts upon a child and three felony counts of oral copulation of a minor under 16--prosecutors had recommended she go to the big house for seven years.
Orange County Superior Court Judge James Rogan in Fullerton today gave McMillen 296 days of credit for time already served in jail. But she was also ordered her to register as a sex offender for life, according to a statement from the district attorney's office.
McMillen had repeated sexual contact with the 14-year-old boy, who came to her house to play with her son, between Jan. 1-Feb. 28, 2012. She played with the visitor's groin area over his clothing, touched his penis directly and gave him oral during two visits.
The boy told his mom, who told Irvine Police, who launched an investigation that produced a 26-year-old man who, when he was 16, had sex with McMillen for more than a year. She orally copulated her friend's son--who she had known since he was 10--at least once between 2005-06.
During that time, McMillen worked part time with kindergarten-age children at Peter's Canyon Elementary School and also with the Tustin Unified School District as a "behavioral interventionist." No evidence was produced of her having sexual conduct with her students, however.
